The Arc of Wilson County
The Arc of Wilson County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that promotes and supports activities in Wilson County that benefit the lives of citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in the community;
- To support the activities of the state and national organizations;
- To work within the Wilson County community to develop programs that will benefit the citizens with I/DD;
- To further develop programs to benefit all citizens with I/DD.
We achieve this mission through social programs designed to promote inclusion, advocacy, and self-confidence for all our participants, ages 0 to 99, and their caregivers.
The Wilson Gobble Wobble
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble is our annual fundraiser. All proceeds benefit The Arc of Wilson County and its programs.
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble 5K and 1-mile family fun run, walk, or wobble is open to people of ALL AGES & ABILITIES.
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble started as a way for families to start Thanksgiving with a little exercise together so they can enjoy guilt-free turkey (or any other Thanksgiving meal) during the holiday.
Registration Fee:
5K Run/Walk: $35
1-Mile Fun Run, Walk, or Wobble: $30
Registration
- Online registration will be used until we reach capacity or until the event starts.
- Everyone starts at the same time; runners start in front, and walkers start in the back.
- Whether you are running or walking, if you have a stroller, you must start in the back. This is for everyone's safety.
- Registration will be available on race day from 6:30-7:30 am.
- Race Day Registration will require payment by card.
- We will not accept cash for the 5K or the 1-mile event.

- Shirts will be available for purchase as an optional upgrade.
- *NEW* We are offering a limited-edition hoodie, perfect for the gym or a walk, run, or bike ride around Wilson.
Awards
- Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
Packet Pick-Up Event
Participants can pick up their packets at 421 Nash St NW, Wilson, NC 27893. We are located next to Vendor Junction in the Walston Center. Look for the sign that says The Arc of Wilson County above the black-and-white striped awning.
Once you pick up your bib, you're responsible for bringing it on race day!
Shirts will be available for late registration for an additional fee. We also won't have shirts from previous years available on race day. So sign up early to ensure you have a Gobble Wobble Race Day shirt.
